One person, start to finish: how buying your Cadillac from Ed works
Most car deals pass through four people. Here it is one — what that changes about questions, trade-ins and the price on the windshield.
Most dealership visits pass through three or four people: whoever greets you, whoever “handles the numbers”, a manager, and a finance office. By the time you reach the second one, the first conversation is already a memory. It is how a purchase starts to feel like a process instead of a decision.
On this site there is one name on the deal, from the first question to the keys.
Who you are actually talking to
Ed Portello has been selling and supporting Cadillacs in South Charlotte since 1999 — more than twenty-five years. The phone number on this page is his, the inbox goes to him, and the car you are asking about is on the lot he walks every day: 10725 Pineville Rd, a few minutes from South Charlotte.
When you ask whether an Escalade has the second-row bench or captain’s chairs, the answer comes from someone who can walk outside and check — not from a call centre reading a screen.
What that changes in practice
There are two kinds of questions in a car purchase: the ones about the car, and the ones about the money. Both go to the same person here.
- The car. Every Cadillac in stock has photographs, the real mileage and the actual asking price. No “call for price”, no car that sold last week still glowing on the page.
- Your trade. A trade-in valuation takes a few minutes and gives you a real number to work from before the conversation starts.
- The money. Financing questions — term lengths, what a payment looks like, what to bring — are answered by the person who will be standing at the desk with you, not handed off to an office you have never met.
The short version
Call or text Ed at 803-431-6180, or send a note from the contact page about any vehicle you see. If you would rather just look first, browse the Cadillacs in stock and take your time — the inventory is kept current, and the person who answers knows every car on it.
